The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain looks so accessible from afar, but the fact remains that her highest peak Shanzidou is still a virgin – no human being is successful in climbing it. Her inherent nobility and seeming inaccessibility has always produced admiration.
A panaromic view of the moutain is not always available because of changeful climate and the thick clouds and mists. Therefore it is a great pity for tourists to Lijiang not to view it with their own eyes. But through the cableway they can get to the sightseeing stand and the alpine ski run that are between 4,500 and 4,700 meters above sea level. Very near as if just a few feet away from the viewer, the highest peak Shanzidou has never been conquered, remaining one of the peaks in the world that are most difficult to climb. So far there have been 17 mountaineering teams from both China and abroad whose efforts to climb it were all ended up in failure. |

Hi, this is an interesting shot with lots of detail. The waterfall in the foreground has an appeal of its own. The mountain in the distance has beautiful colours. Good information,Regards, Jean
