Photographer’s Note

Our Chinese friends will soon enter in the festive period of the lunar new year, so today I upload this detail taken at the ladies night market in Mong Kok, I was amused by these dragons brightly colored in red yellow and gold and found there is plenty of joyful and positive energy radiating from them.

haha something totally different from you. I dont recall you using bokeh much at all, but totally justified. Im really reminded of a shot of mine of Korean masks and you tried to achieve what I tried, the seperation of these beautiful ornaments from a messy, ugly environment.

De la couleur à foison dans cette image qui est presque de style impressionniste !
Il est vrai que de ces dragons émane une certaine gaité ! La compo est bien pensée et la profondeur de champ que donne cette ouverture de F1.8 est extra !

This is a nice composition Jean. The sharpness is very pleasing, as are the colours and the bokeh compliments the foreground very well. I'm not too fond of the red cast though. I might have altered the colour balance myself. I'd do you a workshop. but I've done my limit of two today! Maybe tomorrow.

Superbe rendu pour cette décoration aux couleurs vives.
Le bokeh les met en valeur, et j'aime bien leurs regards monodirectionnel, on pourrait y lire des pensées.

Grande photo sur ces dragons richement colorés. Des couleurs chaudes, bien loin du Grand froid dans lequle je baigne en ce moment.

Un bref passage pour me mettre a jour dans ta galerie et pour te saluer. Pour faire d'une pierre deux coups, je suis venu voir ce qui m'attendait a HK, puisque ca fait 13 ans que je n'y ai pas mis les pieds.

Cette photo me plait particulierement, avec ses riches couleurs qui crient bien haut: Made in China!... La composition en trio est reussie et ce petit bokeh sexy est du meilleur effet.

P.S.: Tes compatriotes sont ici en grand nombre, mais je me demande toujours pourquoi les francais et les japonais voyagent en troupeau de 18 a 24 personnes?... Peut-etre que tu pourras m'expliquer ce phenomene etrange un jour... Charles de Gaulle a dit un jour que les francais etaient des moutons, mais je ne sais pas s'il parlait de leur facon de voyager...

P.S.2: Ce n'est pas une insulte, juste un phenomene remarquable et surprenant.
