Photographer’s Note
This picture is to remember this place and building; Wu Li He Stadium in Shenyang. As lots of buildings in China, if they have been build between 20 to 30 years ago, it will be demolished. Next week the stadium will be brought down by controlled demolition.
The stadium stands in a developing area of the Heping District. A new stadium is under construction across the river, to house some of the Female soccer matches for the 2008 Summer Olympics of Beijing.
The statue in front of the stadium is the only thing that will be saved. It will be moved to a park along the river, Wu Li He Park. On the land where the stadium stands will be a big new complex with a shopping mall, residential apartments and a hotel, all developed by a Hong Kong Real Estate company.

Hi Etienne,
It's good that the featured statue will be saved. Some people may call this progress, and some will not. Good details and contrast in this sepia composition. Greetings! Danilo

Hi Etienne,
You did a nice compo using the statue and the stadium, very powerful graphically.
I miss some black tones on the photo, but I guess that having them would imply loosing some details, so I think that the compromise is acceptable.
TFS, Regards, José.

Bonsoir Etienne,
J'aime bien ce POV sur une statue originale, il y a du graphisme et de la dynamique dans cette photo.
Ton traitement pourrait peut-être être plus contrasté et moins lumineux, mais les goûts et les couleurs...
Bonne soirée,
JB.
