Photographer’s Note
Emin Hoja , a Turpan ruler ,founded this Afghan-style mosque and minaret in 1777. Also known as Sugong Ta ,this is one of the prettiest structure we can see in Turpan. The circular minaret was designed with simple brick motifs ,and the austere ,dark interior contrasts nicely with the lush green of the grape fields outside .
You can climb up to the mosque's roof, but cannot enter the minaret. It's always locked.
This minaret is 44ms high.
When I visited here ,there were too many domestic tourists and crowded too much ,so I could take only one photo with no people and that one is this.
I really love this totally cleared up blue sky and the colour of minaret.
They are making a good contrast ,i think.

Great color and contrast in blue and orange.
Can't believe this is in China. Great place to visit some day.

Hi Yusuke
Good shot of this beautiful structure. I like the solid and graphical elements on the right and how they contrasts well with the textures on the minaret. Good work.
