Photographer’s Note

5150 meters in altitude, here is on of the many high pass in altitude of the road between Katmandu and Lhassa.

On every of these passages are such a structure where a lot of flags are hanged, on them are written some prayers.

With an incredible headache I tried to take a picture of this structure with, in the background, some of the highest mountains in the world.

But the pass where we are is so high that these mountains don't seems so high, it's one of the things quite strange when you cross Himalaya, this and the fact that there aren't so many snow !

This picture was worth the headache! ;-)
A wonderful view and a proof that men's faith is nearly everywhere. A most impressive interaction between the prayers flag and the grand nature. I think men are a bit nearer to their God here ...

Belle image bien composée, le contraste entre la diversité de couleurs et le desert fonctionne bien avec cette arrière plan montagneux et un ciel cristallin.

Bonsoir Marc,
ça faisait un bout de temps que je ne visitais pas ta gallerie et je vois qu'il y a pas mal de nouveautés!
Si je pouvais visiter le Tibet je partirai maintenant! Ce panorama est tout simplement superbe.
Les drapeux colorés, le marron de la terre et les montaignes au fond font une compo excellente.
