Photographer’s Note
At the Chep Lap Kok airport, Hong Kong.Taken on the day I left for Cambodia.
I find the architecture of the place beautiful and practical. What I like the most is the high roof, which makes a larger 'breathing space', hence a more friendly and relaxing atmosphere for the tired travellers.
In the far distant you can see tiny people waiting for their planes. Around every 3-5 columns (in the distant) marks a gate for entering an aeroplane.
I hope you find this an informative pic about the Hong Kong airport.
Any comments would be very welcome!
Nice Sunday :)

Beautiful interior architecture shot, Cheuk-Hin, I like this type of photos. The vertical format is a good choice to play on the depth of the perspective that is strengthened by the lines in the roof, and the array of departure gates and shop extending towards the background. Good timing to have the foreground person included who just makes a decisive stride from the right. I also find the exposure treatment to be quite balanded in order to naturally render the mixture of artificial light and sunlight.

Hi Cheuk,
Nice view of the airport, but I must admit...I'm not crazy about the composition...I mean...You have tried to create a dividing line straight through the middle, but I do not feel that it adds all that much. Saying this though, it is an organised and interesting view...I cant see anything that grabs me though...

Hi Cheuk, long time!
It seems that airports are good place for photography. I remember I took many photos in Chubu International airport in Japan. Perfect division throughout the frame, also the people scattered in the shot are perfect as well. I like it.

Hi Cheuk Hin,
I like the mix of modern architecture and human beings using these structures. I like the wide and open view into the hall and even the symmetry of this image.
Nice shot,
Nino.

Hi Cheuk,
Magnifique image.

Amicalement,
Stéphanie.

I like your strong, graphic composition here Cheuk, and your timing is spot on in taking it just as the man in the yellow top was passing by.
Good work.

Hey Cheuk,
You know how to approach your architectural subjects like using the easiest composition doing a 'symmetrical' one. You've shown Norman Foster's main features of the airport, you've stayed midpoint of the elevation to see the entire concourse's openess and how beautiful, airy and moreso why this airport has been voted the best in the world...as seen by TE's best artist hehehe, why am I so fixated with your works dude why?
Cheers!

I love the symmetry and of course the central composition was necesssary to show that. I also like the patterns of light on the floor and the person appearing into view from the right adds an extra element of interest.

Hi Cheuk Hin,
Quite a special airport scene. High viewpoint and curvy ceiling gives a slightly claustrophobic feeling even though this is a big space. Very careful crop. Including the nearest person gives a good sense of perspective from center to back.

Hi Cheuk,
the shot is really good. You use the vertical, which totally exaggerates the depth of this shot. You frame it perfectly symmetrically and the lines present in the architecture of the buildong take over and lead us into the depths of the image. Great sharp and deep shot.

Hello Cheuk,
lumières bien capturées dans cette scène éclatante de vie et de mouvement.
Une architecture très moderne et qui laisse entrer pas mal de lumières.
Bien à toi.

Hi CheukHin
Airports, especially the modern ones are a treat for photographer becasue of their modernistic architectures..You've done well here with the vertical format, and your framing very symmetrical. Wonderful how the lines on the ceiling lead us into the far depth of the image where passengers wait. Very well exceuted shot

Hi Cheuk
This certainly is different from the old airport I knew. It's definitely a better place to wait for 4 or 5 hours. I like your pov giving lots of depth, thanks as well to the colourful guy in the foreground and the interesting reflections in the corners. The details are excellent.

Hi Cheuk Hin,
your good POV has created a great perspective, with much depth, of this architectonic wonder, as beautiful as functional.
It has the own dynamism of an airport, people give much life to the photo, and you have obtained great lighting with excellent colors.
Very good work.

Josep

Hi Cheuk Hin,
Oh yeah these endles corridors, I remember them for having severely underestimated their length and having to run to catch my flight at the far end ! Your photo shows an outstanding depth for an f/5.6 aperture, and I like the bonus touch of the foreground passing guy.
Have a nice day,
JEan-Yves
