I knew about the versatility of bamboo, but on seeing these sturdy bamboo poles being used as scaffolding on a multi-storey project,I couldn't but admire this "tropical giant grass." This image is scanned from a photograph, after which I increased contrast and sharpness.

Very interesting to see this picture. I am not sure this would be acceptable safety precedure in Canada but I see bamboo is strong enough to be used somewhere else. Nice picture Klaudio. I will show it to my boss next time. Maybe he will allow me to use one of these scaffols in the future :-)

Hi Klaudio. An interesting up-close look at the bamboo scaffolding. I've seen it in Hong Kong and it looks so flimsy but I guess its flexibility is a great bonus. I like your choice of a vertical format and the inclusion of people, especially the suited guy in the foreground who adds interest.

Hi Klaudio,
A terrific image as it invokes so many interests. There's the appalling health and safety aspect of leaving rope and loose poles lying around, plus the bamboo itself...for those who haven;t seen this scaffolding with their own eyes just can't believe how high the scaffolding reaches. Like Jennifer, I was in Hong Kong the first time I saw it...it looked so deceptively flimsy. Great shot.
Best wishes,
Celina

Hi Klaudio,
Bamboos are indeed amazing, and yes I have seen them being used as scaffolding on a multi-storey project in many Asian countries. Composition is pleasing and accentuated by repeating lines. Good quality photo from a scan. Regards.

Hi Klaudio
This is a great pic. I love the vertical format - it works perfectly here.
It's great to see scaffolding made from bamboo!
Well done.
Pozdrav Anthony

If I could only say one word about this capture, it is: "wonderful".
Thanks.
