Hi Mike
Yesterday I looked into my archive and I found my China photos from 2003 and believe it I have a very similar photo of those pillars in the Forbidden City.
Therefore no need to be technically perfect.
All the best

Hi Mike - I like the way the curved roofs inteeact, the lens distortion has created a positive effect here, and the typical white chinese sky addds to the authenticity.

Hi Mike,
I was alarmed about the title. I thought you were referring to traditional vs. modern types of architecture. Superb composition here with good details and colors. Best wishes. Danilo

It's a good idea to have compose that subject like that. The frame is OK and makes the value of the pic. I know the bad light you had but you manage it pretty well with that close up, producing strong colors. Well done.
