Photographer’s Note
Prayer flags are an esential part of Tibeteans daily life. You find them practically on every pass or mountain top. This picture was taken on the highest point of the Kora around Mt. Kailash at around 5500m.
It was windy as hell but well worth it.

Hi Christian, a nice composition & colours of the prayer flags. Although from a different pov i.e capturing the prayer line from a slight distance would have more depth to the overall image. Well done and welcome to TE.

Hi Christian,
Colorful flags and you made it more interesting by capturing it against the sky. Fabulous foto!

Hello Christian,
this photo is great, it signifies HOPE.
Hope for the Tibetian People to get accepted.
Hope for a better future
Hope for cultural survival.
By the way, In the islamic religion there is also a tradition of binding colourful drapery on trees.
They call them "Trees of Wishes". With every single drapery you make a wish and you hope the wind to get your wish and make it come true.
This may be an influence of Tibetian culture, but I don`t know exactly.
Thank you for this photo, again.
My best wishes
Ferhat
