Hi there. Here is a picture of the Huanglong natural pools. It is another amazing place of the mountainous northern Sichuan province. This fairytale place is located about 4000 meters above see level and behind this final pools (those are the highest ones) stands the Ice mountain, a peak at 5588 meters, covered by snow all the year. For your information, the Huanglong parc is not very far from jiuzhaigou. It only take about 3 hours to get there by bus, for a fair 42 Yuan ticket. The entrance fee gets a premium in high season as you have to spend 200 yuan (100 for the student, assuming the have the evidence to proove your are one!). And it is worth the price!. However, you may experience some annoyance from the thousands of tourists walking around, same as in Jiuzhaigou :O/ Tibo

I saw similar colors in mineral pools in New Zealand. Are these pools some kind og thermal pools ? Nicely captured colors. Well seen. M

After comparing this photo with "Huanglong fairy pool II", I decided I prefer this one. I think the composition is better.
That place looks to be quite extraordinary, thank you for showing it to us.

Amazing place you show us..I presume these are thermal pools by the colours. Amazing setting of the place with that pagoda style roof in the other end of the pool. I am fascinated by the photos in your folio..they are excellent

Great picture with wonderful colors. You must feel as in a dream when reaching such a place. Although I see your note mentioning the thousand of tourists... Arrrggg...
