Photographer’s Note
Lijiang, located in the southwest of Yunnan province, is another old town in China and has retained a historic townscape of high quality and authenticity even though it had been hard hit by the earthquake decades ago.
Randomly wandering in the pathways in the town which is criss-crossed with the small canals where I still can see the local people washing clothes and vegetables. This old lady in the shot, who I came across as I was strolling after dinner, is wearing her traditional dress very characteristic of the local customs. I can't see her face and have no idea what kind of expression she might have on her face as she is looking around the crowded tourists flocking to her hometown which is supposed to be in quietness and peace and now is turning into a hustling marketplace. I was following her stumbling steps for a while......then I raised my camera and captured this moment.

Hey sean, This is a good shot. Different thought of taking the shot from the man's back. Good effort.

Hi Sean,
Nice shot.
I think you've used slightly to small aparture here. In my opinion 2.8 aparture is good for stressing out some objects but not for shots where you have rich background as you have here. The focus is on her back, on those small Naxi discs. If I were taking this shot I would use lower point of view (not to get point of view from above) and I would make the whole person sharp.
Best regards
