Photographer’s Note
This photo was taken at the Badaling section of the wall.
The Great Wall which most tourists visit today was built during the Ming Dynasty, starting around the year 1368 and lasting till around 1640.
The Wall is included in lists of the "Seven Medieval Wonders of the World" but was of course not one of the classical "Seven Wonders of the World" recognized by the ancient Greeks.
The Wall was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987.
Tech:-
Auto level and contrast in PS. Resized. Sharpened. Added border.

Hi Andrew
Wonderful color, sharpness & pov. I may ask you for some teaching tips later. I'm experimenting with different discipline techniques at the moment, (writing out lines 10X, referral to their home teacher, get them to stand up for 15 minutes, yelling loudly, get a disruptive group eg #5 to stand up or go outside, using candy & reward systems etc, but hitting them is NOT an option). I like the graphism & sharpness of the pagoda too. Well done!

Hi Andres,
Very sharp, front to back. Very nice composition with the building as subject and the wall all the way up, to the left of the frame. I also like that piece of the wall in the front. I would, however, liked to see more of the right part of the bottom of the building/castle. Love to go there one day. Thanks for sharing. Gilbert

Bonjour Andrew,
Bravo, Andrew, voilà une image parfaitement composée. La grande muraille de Chine prend toute sa dimension ici.
Le cadrage a été choisi avec soin pour mettre en valeur cette construction gigantesque et étonnante.
Félicitations.

Hello Andrew,
very nicely composed shot with a great perspective. Very good dof and light and well visible details like the huge number of tourists climbing the wall. TFS and best wishes.

Hi Andrew,
This is a mythic place for me! I planned several times to go there, but it seems that it's not going to happened this year, as well. I can imagine an endless series from here and your theme is amazing! This is just another great shot, well composed from an excellent POV and with a good depth. Congratulations for your work here!
Best regards,
Ricardo

Beautiful photo, Andrew - expertly framed to include the foreground horizontal wall and the tower to open up a magnificent perspective towards the stone construction meandering uphill. The sunlight works well to enhance the rich textural detail that is present all across the shot.

Hi Andrew,
A nice view of this famous construction built on the depth and well introduced to by the first building, this part looks pretty well maintained, which probably explains the masses to be seen on the wall walkway !
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

hi andrew
i love the perspective of this shot. i'm not sure if this is part of the wall i went to a few years ago, but those steep steps sure are difficult to climb! the streams of people going up the wall in the distance add some scale, even if it is far away.. well done!
