Photographer’s Note
I spotted this daily life scene in Aberdeen, a neighborhood of Hong Kong with an attractive atmosphere, by the water, where there are many boat houses and some other typical ones, called 'sampam' where tourists can take a trip and go around all the boats.
I found the mix of the modern scyscrappers, allways seen from everywhere, with the traditional fluvial daily life scene very interesting.
this is a scanned imge from the negative.

Hola Ricardo: The vertical lines of the skycrappers drive you to the action of the people in the port. What a contrast! I have to congratulate you also for the way you´ve handle the light considering the background was in the light and the action of the people in the shadow. Obrigado.

Hi Ricardo
this is an excellent POV. You have captured an everyday scene and nice framing to emphasize the buildings in the distance. Nice details and colours as well. This is a good contrast between new and old. Very good.

I don't think I've ever seen such a contrast between old and new; the skyscrapers look so out of place. The scan has come out well and I don't detect any noise. Well done; very interesting.

Bonsoir Ricardo,

Hi Ricardo
Good daily life image here...the contrasts are fascinating. You've done a good scanning job here considering how difficult the work is (I now understand)

Hola Ricardo.
As says Miguel, the vertical lines are the key of the photo. Not only are the key: are the best way of understand and make this photo.
The scene with the people working is good and interesting too.
Regards.

ola ricardo,
nothing to complain about in this image, imo :-))
particularly what i like is the fact that the man is barefoot and the skyscrapers look as if staring at the men in the foreground;
best wishes, j.

Está excelente para a ideia que queres transmitir. Melhor, melhor, eventualmente só com as torres maiores, retirando as mais pequenas à esquerda.

Ola Ricardo,
Well the scan cannot compare with a crisp digital shot, but the framing here as well as the succession from a daily scene up to the Aberdeen housings are nice. The architect in you must have been delighted in such a crazy place...
Have a nice day,

Hola Ricardo
Y gran pov.

Hi Ricardo,
It seems we have common tastes ... I have a similar one in my gallery taken at the port of Aberdeen :))
Nice as you combine the architecture, the boats and people, plus a very nice light.

Ola Ricardo, I was curious to see your look on China and although some more recent posted photos seemed more beautiful, I was attracted by this one as it shows so contrasting, even conflicting views of nowadays China : very interesting and an excellent viewpoint,
Bravo !
