Photographer's Note
Some fresh stuff, a scene from yesterday evening...
This is the Symphony of Lights in Hong Kong, seen from the Peak Gallery. Recently, every day at 8 p.m. most of the skyscrapers in Hong Kong start blinking and changing colors... Then after few minutes fireworks start exploding from the roofs of some of them... This event is very colorful and quite spactacular.. and that's the first moment of fireworks in the picture.
Hong Kong during Chinese New Year celebrations is really colorful...
PS - no cropping, resizing, sharpening a bit, levels a bit, increased saturation a little, framing.

Totally different from your previous shots. Nice image, not my favorite. I like your portraits a lot better, because in general I like to see people more.... But still it shows you are polyvalent, being able to take a lot of different pictures. The V at the bottom is nice. Like open arms to the show!!..

When I saw the thumbnail I thought it was just another HK night view... But it's not. Congrats, it's beautiful, sharp, etc...

Incredible spectacle! The perspective you used to portrait Hong Kong skyline is fascinating, as well as the exposition time! A real beauty. Well Done!

Sensational exposure and timing. I particularly like how the foreground converges to the main scene. It must have been wonderful to witness. Very well done. I will have to remember those exposure settings :)

The colors are amazing! The original photo (before resizing to the TE format) must look even more stunning!

Super.

Wow. What an amazing view.
Great contrast between black and bright colors. I especially like how the forest make the V-shape in the lower part of the image.
Also technically great night shot. Very-very well done.

Great night picture. Thumbnail is not so interesting, but when I opened it, it was surprise for me. See this in reality must be fantastic. And you could catch it very well from the right place. Well done, Maciej!

where did you take this one? you chose a very good place to catch all things in.
I was in HK during the Chinese new year and trying to take some shots of fireworks, but not as good as you did.
I remembered it took me long time to take next shot, so many blah blah before the fireworks burst. well done, U!

You must be happy with this! Even without the fireworks, it's a beautiful shot. WITH them, it is outstanding. Just so eye-catching. I think I'd be tempted to reduce the foreground foliage a bit and try to make it a complete silhouette. Great stuff!

Let me guess, close to the stair exit at the left far from the tourist platform ;)
It is as lovely as I remember it, maybe more now with all those fireworks.

Don't know how to express, it impressed me too much. Keep trying to capture a nice shot from the peak last visit, never imagine that the night can be more striking and spectacular (while I thought what I saw that night is the best night scene I have seen)!! Well Done!

Wow !
This is superb, & much better than my feeble attempts. If you have Adobe Photo Shop, go into 'filter', 'noise' 'dust & scratches'. Hold the mouse click down & draw a square over the dust mark. A preview will appear. If you're happy with the change, release the mouse click & enter.

Very very very colorful and breathe taking Mac.What makes the colors so pastel enchanting is the dark tone of the night. And as an added bonus, throw in a few fireworks. You must be pretty happy to be up there.

Wow. What an amazing image. To see this symphony of lights must be breathtaking, well done for remembering to grab your camera!
It could probably benefit from Neat Image for noise reduction.

Hello Maciej,
You have beautifully captured the view from the Peak. I have been there only during the day but I can see how amazing the city looks by the night.
Very well framed and symmetrical shot.
