just back from hong kong... what can i say... still overwhelmed... i thought i've seen crowded (lived in seoul, been to new york, l.a., japan...)...

three terrible rainy (and cold) days, not a lot of good photos :((...

i'm not into shopping (well i was very tempted in a canon 5d @ HK$ 21,000 but that was all)... don't think i'll be posting more of the city this time... anyways, was there for business, mission accomplished... some good photo ops though... maybe next time...

sorry 'bout the title again, just a bit dissapointed...

Hey Mark,

what does $21,000 HK trasnlate to anyway? Ill be in HK this summer for a week or two (its my dream to go to HK) and may pick the 5D up if the price is right.

Hey, its a good shot. I like how detached you are from the scene yet how close up you got. Its a very urban shot, and HK is the quintessential city.

Very cool division of the frame, and the magic 3 number is here too. It's VERY "Hong Kong" like to me. the man walking into the frame from the right makes it for me.
Well done, Mark,
Francis

The composition doesn't quite hold together for me but I like this and think you've managed to evoke the feel of HK quite well--the dirty yellow light, the rushed figures. Plus food and rubbish--quintessential HK. Glad you didn't go for the usual temples, cityscapes, or Peak views.

Hi Mark,
i got the same feeling as Francis, very "Hong kong", though you complained it. hehhe, you are always not satisfied with your shots, high standard for youself.
the colours here is as good as 5d, i think, dont need to buy 5d. :) HK$21000 almost =21000 chinese dollor. woow, that is a big number for me. but the food must be very cheap there, it seems very delicious, like Guangzhou, full of fast food.,. people in HK walking with food, working while dinner.....very busy... crowd...this shot improve my impression of HK.
anyways it work well for me. cheers.

Hi Mark. I like this composition and moment, as though 2 people, split by the corner are on a course to collide. The exposure is good for this night shot. nice work.

Szia Mark,
Whatever the others may be like, this is a great shot. The three men caught so well in a triangle makes this shot both fascinating and structurally very strong. A great slice of life, very Blade Runnerish to me... I can even hear Vangelis in the background.
Most hova mesz legkozelebb?
