Another picture of Hong Kong I made this August. I like the old man playing chess somewhere in Hong Kong without even realising that I took that picture. He's totally absorbed by that game.
I turned it into b&w because I thought it would match with the situation and the old man. Other than that, I only sharpened but didn't crop or so... |

Hi Martin
I like the expression of this old man thinking about his strategy.
Nice POV, nice frame.
Excellent shot !

Nice POV of thi man with his thoughts and his body attitude (hands, fingers, etc.).
I like the contrast from the chess and would love to see more details from legs and pant.
Thanks,
Al..

Yo Martin
back with another brilliant shot. A brilliant executed B&W effect. The impression of the elderly guy is great. Whereas the finger pointing at the chess makes a sort of motion to the image.
Well done, Martin.

Hi Martin,
Very good compo! It remminds me of several shots I made to people in China, including with this game, and that I'm preparing to post soon. I agree with you - the B&W really works here adding an extra to the ambiance. Thanks,
Regards,
Ricardo
Placing the player's face in the total darkness, you well emphasized his age and the critical situation of the game while he was checkmated.
Looking at the "battle", I saw that he is in deep trouble. Well, give him some time to find his proper counter-attack!
