Photographer’s Note
Shot in the Hutong close to Tiananmen Square (sort of behind Qianmen for those that know the area).
I don't want to talk too much about this shot because I think it really speaks for itself. I worked from RAW and adjusted the saturation a little as well as making it a little darker. I didn't perform any cropping.

Very funny image. Good compo and captured. I like here: blue poster, bike without chair, clothes on the left bottom corner and of course "your" man with newspapers- thats all create very funny composition. One thing: maybe is to small "contrast" because picture now looks a litle bit to pale. good luck

A good composition for this simple street scene shot. Unfortunately the whole area is under shade and came out a little on the dark side. Your camera's meter must have been tricked by the sunlight above, as you are shooting against the light.
Also, I want to thank you for your comments on my photo, "La Iya Beach". I appreciate it.

Hi Lewis,
this should be a very fast shot, but taken very good. No crop is a good idea to give the right reflection of the atmosphere there.
Very good picture.

Hi Lewis..this is such an iconic Asian shot..the texture on the walls, the squating on the pavement, the bicycle and...of course .. the washing. Well seen
Cheers
