Photographer’s Note
This photo was shot at the Summer Palace in Beijing. After trying hard all day to take some "interesting" photos of the palace architecture I finally strolled towards some of the ruins of the Park of Pure Ripples (Qingyiyuan), which was destroyed by the British and French troops in 1860 during the Second Opium War.
In this quiet and secluded area was another large lake with dark green water. There were maybe five or six men working on small boats to lift the green weeds from the water. I took a few shots and of those this is my favourite (and I think the best of the day).
What I think sets this photo apart is the sharp focus and the man's stance. The slight motion blur on the current catch really helps things too, I feel. On the downside, there is a little over-exposure on the man's body and fork.
Post-processing includes adjusting levels, saturation and exposure compensation in my RAW tool, as well as running unsharp mask with some very low settings. I was happy with the crop, so left it as-is.

A good work. I like the motion that blurred the green weeds. Coloros are good and the man is in a good attitude. Very useful note.

Good shot Lewis. Good detail. I took a similar photo when I was at the Summer Palace, however it's nowhere near as good as this so I am going to forget about posting it I think. Nicely done.
