Photographer’s Note
This is a follow on shot from my "the rainy season hits the wet market".
It was just taken a minute later from the other end of the market street.
The rain had slightly died down - although still bouncing off the ground - and so visibility long the street was a little bit better.
When I saw the man using a newspaper for shelter, I had to take the shot.
Tech: Resized and sharpened. Brightness +3.

Well seen and nice shot. Poor guy it seems he didn't read the paper, but anyway he could used the paper as a shelter.

Bonjour Andrew,
I like it !
Amitiés.
Philippe

Hi Andrew,
A real daily life picture on a rain day, nice idea of the man with its cloth on its head.
Excellent depth and great perspective, bad day for the stallholders.
Well seen,
John.

Very tropical mood and activity under this heavy rain might not be so easy.
Well done for thi whole perspective.
I like it

This is great too, Andrew, as it shows the market street in a nice perspective lined with stalls, where most of the products have been wrapped in plastics. The guy in shorts, boots and with the paper on his head looks a bit sad, as if he's being forced to work in the rain. His position in the diagonal street is great, but what catches my eye is the blue bucket - probably placed there to collect water. The light is excellent for showing a downpour day, but a little dark to show the products in the market. Are really all these 'wet market products'? Very well done!
