Photographer’s Note

Pearl Shoal Falls is one of the main waterfalls in the fascinating area of Jiuzhaigou. Here you can walk for days through the forest to see lakes, waterfalls and mountains.

wow, such a beautiful sight !
your point of view is great here because we can see the waterfall as well as the snowy moutains, the blue sky and the countryside around. nice play with light and shadows. good sharpness for a relaxing image.

Quel paysage de rêve, à la fois gigantesque et sauvage, j'ai même du mal à croire qu'on arrive à trouver d'aussi beau paysage en Chine, j'aurais plutôt pensé à un grand parc américain...

Enfin si le paysage est à tomber par terre, la photo elle est totalement maîtrisée sur tous les plans, que je ne vais pas énumérer sinon il y aurait trop à dire ;-) Donc, totale réussite !

Stunning and wonderful. The way you captured the water is just sheer genius. The light is handled so well, the colors are so great but its the water, its testure, its motion, thats what makes this shot!

Amazing. China is one of my future plans for a long travel and Sichuan will be on my list for sure. This kind of waterfalls I've only seen in tropical places before, amazing to find one in a different climat. Mountains and natural beauty is the best thing in life. Thanks for showing this great piece.

Another amazing photo of this heavenly place! Your composition here is more dynamic compared with the serenity and calmness of the previous photo. You have captured great colours here and a very good contrast. Your frame is perfect and the shutter speed allowed a good capture of the water's motion.

We are used to see portraits from China, it's nice too see a pic from a beautifull landscape, it's well composed, the courb of the fall give perspective, colors are well contrasted, it's sharp. Well done

This is really amazing - the colours are so vivid and the the definition of the shot is so sharp. Again, it's hard to believe that this is in China and not Canada - thanks for showing us this area.

Hi Jonathan - indeed this image is a world apart from most Chinese cities where you cant see the next block on a "sunny" day. I hope to go there one day, this place is probably very difficult to reach.

Une autre vue de ces superbes chutes, assurément un endroit à visiter, il y a l'air de ne pas avoir trop de touristes et le site garde un aspect sauvage. On se rend mieux compte de la hauteur de la chute sur cette photo que sur ta dernière.
Je préfère ce POV ci.
