Make a wish
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This is a famous wishing tree in "Lam village" in Tai po, Hong Kong. Thousands of people visit this little village everyday, including the local Hong Kong residents.
The idea of the wishing tree is that when you throw onto the tree the package of lucky paper and orange, if they get suspended onto the branches, it symbolises that the wish will come true. Hong Kong people love to come here to wish for better fortune, work, or other areas in life such as relationships, exams etc. |
