Photographer’s Note
Since 1898, the Star Ferry has been plying the short route between Hong Kong island and the Kowloon mainland. As well as being the cheapest way to cross the harbour, this seven minute journey has become a tourist attraction in itself.
The ferry offers the best view of the Hong Kong skyline and people recommend you take it twice, in daylight and at night. The sea breeze blows through the historic open plan of these green and white ferries. All ferries in the fleet also have an air-conditioned upper deck cabin.

What a clear shot through the haze :)!! I especially like that you captured the boat's name in the picture, as well as the lone star on the smoke stack. The boat names in particular, are hillarious, second only to the funny English warnings posted in the boats' interior! To people not familiar with HK's ferries ... the Star Ferry fleet have such names as "shining star," "morning star," "silver star," "celestial star," etc star...an overkill of stars! But to most everyone, with the exception of the operators, they all look the same.

Wow Wee! Patterns, repeating. Its great! The DOF is fantastic, as the ferry is clear, but there is enough detail in the background to repeat effectively the circular patter of the life-saving floatation devices in the windows of the high-rises.

It's a good photo, which shows the famous "wall" of buildings in the business area, and describes it very well.
I have few photos I took there, but as Kourosh said, they;re to hazy (or foggy). I couldn't process them to be good enough.
That's why I like this one so much.

We love Star Ferry! Although it is rather slow, on your picture it seems to be as fast as the wind! Nice blue picture with great background!

I love cities where you can travel within by boat, such as Hong Kong... or Istanbul. Combinaison of water, boat and city is just perfect!

Thank you Andrew to make us live, the time of a glance, the particular atmosphere of this city state. The movement of the boat is well done thanks to the foam, its offset position and its orientation towards the right. Contrast with the urban horizon is gripping due certainly to a significant focal distance.
