Photographer’s Note
'Gulangyu' is pronounced locally as 'goo_lang_yee'. Why, I don't know. It's the old colonial enclave, on an island off the coast of the large town of Xiamen, which was 1 of 4 concession treaty ports open to trade after the opium wars in the 19th century.
There are no cars on the island, which makes walking around the town a delight.

Hello Chris!
Belle composition urbain!
Mais,ça penche un petit peu beacoup à mon goût.
J'aime par contre les couleurs et le mouvement des gens!
Pas ta meilleure image!

Hi Chris,
It is interesting to be able to see both sides of the building at the same time. Well selected POV and the cable does help to bring our attention to the interesting building. Menarik sekali!!

Hi Chris, Thanks for positing this photo. I have been trying to go to there. But I never made it. The name of this island means the ocean waves to the island made the sound like beating drums.
An excellent POV to enable us see the deep of the street as well as highlight of the shops. The contrast and the colors are great. A nice shot.

Good shooting angle at this triangular crossing, Chris, affording a nice view to this attention-drawing colorful building in the center. The pedestrians provide a nice lively element. The whole scene leans quite a bit to the right though (I'd expect the verticals in the center of the frame to be vertical).

A very nice street shot, Chris. The colors and the human activity transfers the feeling of a live city and a very pleasant place. I like this red corner shop. I think that you should crop the a/c on the right, it spoils the "old times" image. Very nice shot, Chris, and a very good POV.

Hi Chris,
I see you managed very well the hard light here. With the good chosen angle both alleys seen very well. Very colorful, bright and sharp image. The only point I hate is the cables flying in the air which is same all around the world.
Good job and thanks for sharing...
(by the way I added a WS)

Bonjour Chris,
J'aime beaucoup.
