Photographer’s Note
Hopefully this is the most polluted part of the plant which lead to the creation of the city 40 years ago (now 1 000 000 inhabitants). The surroundings are very beautiful.

I do hope too that that's already the maximum pollution the place is ever going to experience. The picture is apocalyptic. Really saddening. On the technical side, adjusting the levels might clarify the image a little bit.

Magnificent as photo and good choice, very interesting. I too would like to see it with a little more contrast.
Magnifique comme photo et bon choix, très intéressant. Moi aussi j'aimerais la voir avec un peu plus de contraste.

A thought provoking image. How many more beasts like this are there in China and other countries belching pollution into the air?
I think the softness and lack of contrast actually adds to the overall effect.

I think this shot and Enki Bilal´s (great artist btw!!) comic strips have the same beautiful tones and feeling... Well done.

This picture does it's job perfectly in portraying the pollution-filled, toxin-riddened atmosphere of the factory complex.
As for lack of contrast, I think this actually benefits this picture, as if the viewer is looking through a haze.

Very beautiful photo, the whole is hidden by the pollution of the industries, it looks like the fog of coasts.
Très belle photo, le tout est caché par la pollution des industries, cela ressemble au brouillard des côtes.

I really like this photo. And it is sad, all that pollution. The haziness of the photo adds a lot of character, and it provoked me to play around with your photo. I've changed a few things, and if you allow me to post the workshop, it would be interesting to see. (all you have to do is go into the "edit" part in "manage" and change the selection for post workshops. I would really like you to see it.
Great job!

This really is grim. It's like some post-apocalyptic nightmare. The colours are drab, the air is unclear and everything is depressing. I think you achieved your goal brilliantly here. Well done!!

I just saw this picutre... it looks like a slightly larger scale version of what I see on the drive into my office each day! China really knows how to do the smoke belching industrial complex.
I think it could have a bit more contrast (maybe auto-levels), but it is a very good pic as it is.
