Photographer's Note

It was past midday when visiting the Jokhang Monastery in Lhasa I saw this group of boys going out of what must be a kind of school
Buddhist monasteries are also schools and pupils dressed as monks from the moment they enter the place

They were happy, joking and laughing as any boy in the world leaving the school

Jokhang Monastery or Temple
Included on UNESCO's World Heritage list in 2000 as part of the Potala Palace, the Jokhang Temple is located in central Lhasa in Tibet.
It is the ultimate pilgrimage destination for Tibetan Pilgrims.

Opening Hours: 09:00 to 18:00

Time for a Visit: Two hours
Bus Route: As the Temple is in the downtown centre you can just walk there.
