Humble Administrator's Garden IV, a photo from Jiangsu, East

This garden is chock full of photo opportunities, & it is not yet all that well represented on TE, so here is another view of the Humble Administrator's Garden, one of the nicest gardens in all of southern & central China. It was completed in 1526, but the original owner lost it in a gambling debt.

This is the "Hall of 36 pairs of Mandarin Ducks". I knew getting that map of the huge garden would come in handy! The garden is not at all 'humble', & is in fact quite lavish. I have attached a WORKSHOP showing a pair of Mandarin Ducks. I should have changed lenses & gone with a 55-200mm zoom, but this was okay for what I wanted, imho.

Good Morning Chris,

It is truly a beautiful .
I like your pov, with thedecorated. red facade making a most interesting lead into the depths of the shot. You have some delightful textural details, from the light-reflecting glass to the smooth surface of the reflecting water.
I think the guy with the camera is a fine image to have on the far bank; a photographer capturing a photographer! Nice!

tantalising perspective here and such a rich mixture of shapes, lines and colours. I love the windows and the way the light plays upon them. Excellent sharpness and light management make this such a compelling and beautiful image.

C'est de cette façon que l'on imagine les jardins chinois avec de beaux bâtiments rouges avec les pieds dans l'eau parsemée de nénuphars. C'est très beau.

La combinaison de ces beaux bâtiments rouges et de la verdure qui les entoure t'a permis de réaliser une très belle photo de ce superbe endroit. Ce doit-être un véritable régal de se promener là....et d'y croiser de beaux mandarins.
