Suzhou is justifiably famous for its many gardens, & this is one of the best I've seen. It looks more like a wilderness area, than a central city park surrounded by 4,074,00 people in the city of Suzhou.

"At 51,950 m2, it is the largest garden in Suzhou and is generally considered to be the finest garden in all of southern China. In 1997, Zhuozheng Yuan (the Chinese name), along with other classical gardens of Suzhou was proclaimed a UNESCO World Heritage Site."

Good Morning Chris,

A beautiful, restful shot. Green is my favourite colour and I'm sure it is a calming colour.
All the elements are well positioned for a natural lead from the b/l/h corner to the upper r/h corner. I just love the strength of the reflection, given movement by the circles from rising fish.

love the greens in this tranquil and beautiful composition. They seem to make the tranquility palpable and combine so pefectly with the rock and bridge tones. Excellent clarity and reflection with perfectly placed ripple.

La voute de verdure qui recouvre cette image lui donne les plus belles teintes, surtout au niveau des reflets dans le petit ruisseau qui traverse l'image.

Hi Chris,

The reflections on the water are assets to the composition. The length of the canal is giving depth to the scene. The point of view is shoiwing the details and colors of the vegetation and of the architecture of the bridge. The green seem to be a dominant color of the scenery. Have a nice day.

Hi Chris,

It seemed to me that Suzhou is a small city and it is bigger than most European cities. The scale in China is different. beautiful vioew from this famous garden. Here it looks quite wild. And there is a romantic bridge, of course.
It is a pity I had very little time in Suzhou. I visited the most interesting gardens but I haven't seen the canals.
