Xiapu Shore, a photo from Fujian, East

Photographer's Note

Xiapu (霞浦)is located at the North East of Fujian province. It has a long coastal line of 404km, with a large portion of sea shore protected by mountains and rocks, making it perfect for fishers to establish since the past thousand years.

There are a lot of scenic spots in Xiapu.
The hills serve as a good spot for photographer to compose many of the picture. Together with the scenery, colourful low lying sand, history, culture, fisher farm and fisherman working scene.

This picture was taken on a high POV using a telephoto minimalist and high key approach.

Many pictures of Xiapu here, making it an attractive place to visit. I wonder if I'll make it that high up in Fujian province on our next trip to the region, the pictures sure make me want to. Lovely minimalism & a real tribute to these men at work. Great picture!

This is a great photo, the square cut is correct for this frame because the proportion of elements present in the scene recalls the format 1:1, good choice!
the position of the fishermen in the left lower part is a perfect choice for enjoying the background without distracting the rest of the frame
