Lixi Park Bridges, a photo from Jiangsu, East

Photographer's Note

A central city park in Wuxi. There are 2 bridges here with the reflections from the bridge behind encircled by the fg bridge. Taken in Lixi Park yesterday. The flowers look like roses of some sort. Beyond the 2 bridges is a large canal running horizontally across the screen & on the opposite shore are the high rise apartment buildings in the bg.

Nice composition showing two styles of urban housing co-existing together. The little canal, the bridge over the water and the surroundind gardens add a romantic touch to the place. Well seen and framed.

there is a wonderfully subtle and appealing light inside this excellent composition. Beautifully sharp and full of such contrasting elements and captivating colours. The perfect reflection just tops it all off really. A stylish image and presentation.

A beautiful view of the bridges and the reflections along with the pink flowers in the foreground. Nice view of the modern buildings in the background with typical orient style roofed buildings on both sides. The colors are nice and soft with sharpness and management of light.

Hi Chris,

The reflections on the water are assets to the composition. The length of the canal is giving depth to the scene. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the architecture of the bridge and of the buildings. The early evening light is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Chris,
the light wasn't so favourable here, but you know very well how to arrange and light the available elements in order to compose a lovely, well balanced and interesting picture. The juxtaposition of old and new architecture, elegance and sensitivity contrasting with rigidness and lack of imagination is presented in a simple and quiet but very effective way.I love the clarity, the subtlety and harmony of colours and the smooth reflections. A wonderful quiet, melancholic picture. Well done and thank you!

before reading the note I saw only 1 bridge,this strange to have built 2 bridges at the same place.The contrast of their traditional architecture with the modern buildinds of the background is still more strange.The flowers and the traditionals houses gives a splendid foreground, and the reflections are superb.

Two bridges in a price of one. In Amsterdam is a place that one can see fifteen bridges at once. In fact, I saw only eight. Nice photo made in cloudy day. it would be even nicer without these buildings behind. Wonderful reflections, nice flowering bushes near the water.
