Photographer's Note

This photo was taken today in the North Point district of Hong Kong Island.

An article in today's South China Morning Post, said that the wealth gap in Hong Kong was getting worse.

Hong Kong's latest gini coefficient figure showed that "wealth disparity in the city was the most serious in the world".

The poorest 10 per cent of families became even poorer, living on HKD 3,000 a month. They are the people who really need to use the 2 dollar tram ride everyday.

And yet, ironically enough, the tram in this photo is advertising a watch that costs over HKD 10,000 (CHF 1,155).
