Photographer's Note

Qinghua is a small town in the Wuyuan region in northern Jiangxi. Its claim to fame is its wonderful 800-year old Caihong bridge. Though Qinghua does see its share of (Chinese) tourists, it is a very quiet and off-the-road sort of place. And there are some basic, but friendly places to stay and a handful of restaurants.

This kid lives nextdoor to the place we stayed and met us with that typical mixture of curiosity and fear. In the end curiosity won, as it usually does.

Il est curieux de voir comment certaines photos possèdent plus d'impact en noir et blanc. J'ai bien regardé votre atelier en couleur, et ce portrait en N et B ressort à merveille, créant un impact différent, une ambiance.
