Photographer’s Note
On a site visit close to Manduhubaoligesumu in Inner Mongolia. A very long 10 hours drive with typical Mongolian Plateau scenery - low rolling hills, plains, small gers and sheep. Trees were rare which is why I took the shot.
The area is close to the 1939 Russia Vs Japan Khalkhyn Gol battlefield - one of the most decisive and influencial, yet almost unknown, battles of the 20th Century.

An interesting photo of a windswept region Malcolm. It was wise to include the trees to provide a contrast to the bare paddocks which at least had a bit of green due to being taken in early summer..
My only problem is the lack of detail in the sky - the clouds look a bit washed out so I did a workshop - hope you like the results.
