Photographer’s Note
The Li River or Li Jiang (Chinese: 漓江, pinyin: Lí Jiāng) is a river in Guangxi Province, China. The Li River originates in the Mao'er Mountains in Xing'an county and flows through Guilin, Yangshuo and Pingle, down into the Xi Jiang, the western tributary of the Pearl River in Wuzhou, its course of 437 kilometers is flanked by green hills. Cormorant fishing is often associated with the Lijiang. Its unusual karst topography hillsides have often been compared to those at Halong Bay, Vietnam.

Benjamin - a nice reflective moment youve got here. I like the chairs out on those raft like things... what a place to be!

Hello Benjamin,
This is a beautifully composed shot, indeed, two shots for the price of one. The mirror-like surface of the water allows the viewer to see the peaks of the Mao'er Mountains. I did not know that you were back. I know that you had gone into a photographic hibernation of sorts in order to concentrate on your studies. Well done!
Warm regards,
Bulent

Excellent one withucha great volume. The reflection works so well especially with the floating bamboos.

Hello Benjamin,
The mirror effect is very strong here due to the strong smoothness of the water.
The boats are very welcome here in the composition to provide a color contrast and increased the strangeness of this landscape.
Yves.
