Photographer’s Note

The Summer Palace in Beijing was built when Qian Long was emperor (18th century), in what was the golden age of the Qing imperial China, and underwent deep construction and reparations during Cixi, famous as being the last empress of imperial China, although that title is not totally correct.

Besides the pavillons and ways as interest tourist points, perhaps the most interesting point is lake itself. For what I heard, the lake is an artificial lake built after the emperor visited the very famous Taihu lake in Hangzhou, a city next to Shanghai.
