Photographer’s Note
This photo was taken from the new Star Ferry Pier and shows the evergrowing Kowloon skyline.
The building under construction is Union Square Phase 7 (its formal development name).
In 2005, they officially announced that its will be called International Commerce Centre.
I have also posted another view of this new skyline on Treklens - Union Square and the Kowloon skyline.
This was my first visit to the new Star Ferry Pier and I was glad to see that there were still opportunites to take photos of the Star Ferry with 'interesting' backgrounds!
Although the previous view of the ferries leaving the old pier, and its 'urban wall', will be surely missed - The Star Ferry leaving the old ferry pier in Central.

Hello Andrew,
I was in Hong Kong before two years and I can say that I was impressed by the modern buildings, but also by the humidity.Seeing the construction of this building, feels someone awe, and I wonder in which height can reach these skyscrapers.Nice reportage shot.Well done.

Bloody annoying having to walk all that way, but I guess it actually gives a much better PoV for the other side of the harbour, and this new addition is certainly an intrtesting feature, excellent clarity here.
Sorry I couldn't make it for drinks last week, 100% committed, but let's try at the end of Feb when I'll be there with my wife.
See you

Hello Andrew,
very impressive view! Well, Hong Kong, as it is, is a very impressive city! I like these buildings which are slightly in the haze. Very good colours and good composition. The ferry in the FG enlivens this scene very much :)
I like all your photos of Hong Kong!
Best regards,
Elena

Andrew!
I like your photo for its documentary value! It is pretty great to see how HK grows bigger and taller every year! And of course it is cool to see the ferry again. Nice job. Cheers!
