Photographer’s Note
it was a cold night, rather midnight
who would not like to stay at his own house, watching TV,having a cup of tea, reading the day's newspaper, asking loudly your child to do his homework, and waiting for his super dinner after his sweet wife stepping out of the kichen?
but, there were somebaby, still on working in the night, fighting against the sleepness, the tiresome hours....
a guy ride passing by my window, god bless him!

It's a little unfocused, but a cool shot! And b/w too, what a surprise! Joking aside, I like the high contrast look of this and you waited for just the right moment when the man is in the light!

I like the idea and I like the sharp shadows, but I think you could have cropped a little tighter, the large black areas don't add much. Very moody shot though.

I like the moment and the light here...
very well captured and i don't mind it's a little blurry
but since the framing is all black I would exploit that a little more for a better compo... i've putted that in ws hope you don't mind :)

The idea is good but the picture is too large
better to more focus on the cyclist in that case

Very spooky shot, I love the black and white you have here which has added to the mystery.

Your are increasing your offer in sharing. This a very good creation. Athmosphere is like in some of our old films B&W glorifying the wokers of the night, taking care while everybody is asleep.Technic is good and subject well positioned.

et bien d'abord j'apprécie bcp la compo, ms je trouve ka ca manke de détails ds les noirs ( stt la zone au dessus, assez désagréable.... )et ptet un contraste un peu trop dure, enfin, c ptet voulu!!! ciao

For me, all is ok.
The compo, the distribution between the zones black and enlightened
I love much this alone cyclist rolling in the night
It is a beautiful atmosphere.
Congrats

There is a very special atmosphere in your photo, Xu !
A movie atmosphere ...
I like the shadow of the man and the bike in perfect symetry and the light coming from nowhere.
The choice of B&W is a success.

Interesting subject and well used light. Dark empty space really works. Very well seen and captured.

I like this one! Look's like cut scene from some movie. Great POV, and very nice compo. I find lot of life on this shot.

I also like the photo a whole lot, dark abstract and reality of daily life very well presented in an artistic photo.

Fantastica ripresa, densa di significati, ottima rappresentazione di questo spostamento notturno, fatto per lavoro, immagine molto significativa!!

The "decisive moment" of this picture over-rides the soft focus. These moments have to be grabbed when they occur. Glad you had B&W in the camera for this shot,
