Silkroad travels by bike: Kashgar

The bread is called nan(in Uighur language, of the Turk language family) here. It is made the same way bread is baked in Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and elsewhere, by attaching the fresh loaf to the inner wall of a spheric oven with the opening on top. In a few minutes the bread is ready. You have to understand that for a hungry cyclist (and any Silk road traveller) such bread is irresistible.

Eben habe ich gefrühstückt - und jetzt diese Bild! Ein appetitliches Angebot - auch durch die "Muster" auf der Oberfläche ... Eine einfache Speise wunderschön ins Bild gesetzt!
Irgendwie hat dieses Bild einen 3D-Effekt... toll!

zusammen mit Deinen letzten Bildern eine schöne kulinarische Dokumentation; dieses hier und auch das Bild mit den Nudeln erinnert mich stark an die italienische Küche, man sieht, die Menschen sind sich auf der ganzen Welt ähnlicher, als man vielleicht denkt.

It seems this bread is not only tasty, but also a work of art. I like the different piles and single pieces in your photo, and the wonderful patterns on the top of the bread. It is interesting to get a glimpse of the baker in the background.
