多年来,被当地人称为世界工程奇迹的喀喇昆仑公路一直是我梦回萦绕的地方。这条公路所通向的巴基斯坦北部山谷是我梦中的天堂,路旁魅影般神奇闪现的雪山和冰川不断地在招引着我,而这条公路上的挫折和艰辛,则让我的旅途更加弥足珍贵。
喀喇昆仑高速公路(又称中巴公路)虽然被称作高速路,但在这里你却看不到普通高速路上应有的分道线和界标。沿着喀喇昆仑公路一线,喜马拉雅山、喀喇昆仑山、帕米尔高原和兴都库什山以及一些著名的冰川都被收入眼帘。从平原到贫瘠的山地,从怪石嶙峋的峡谷到被雪山围绕的村庄,从高原湖泊、河流到沙漠,喀喇昆仑公路所经地区景色变换无穷。它是世界上海拔最高的跨越边境的道路。
