[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It is very interesting for the foreighners to see nowdays using old technique to produce wheat flour. Visiting Eastern Turkestan, now known as Xinjiang, Kashgar city you can still feel yourself taken back to the century of simplisity and harmony of nature with people. Tughmen or Tugmen (uyghur) = so called the stuff on the photo. Mill (eng).

Hello, Adiljan, welcome to TE!

This is a nice picture for teaching us something about Uighur food techniques. It is also a good composition, balancing the circle of the of the mill with the circle of the wheel; the color combination is also good. It was OK to cut out part of the wheel in the background, but I think you should have included all of the metal piece to the right of the mill if possible.

Regards,
Dan

Salam,
I like that you show as this article of every day life from a far away region of the world. The picture lacks a bit of contrast and saturation. I have made a little WS and I hope you like it. By the way: that stuff is called (EN)mill,(FR)moulin,(GE)Mühle,(NL)molen,(TR)değirmen,(AR)tahun,(RU)мельница,(SP)molinillo,(I)macina,(CZ)mlın,(SLO)mlin,(PL)młyn,(N)mølle,(S)kvarn
Kind regards,
Roland
