From the same location to my previous posting

This is a close up view of a weathered door that has seen the better life in Kuqa Uighur old quarter. I was drawn to this poorly maintained, neglected door and a very strong morning sun shining, obligingly at the correct angle to emphasize these textures made me think it was worth a shot. I simply loved the contrast between the padlock and the vibrant peeling blue paint reflecting the character and history to this door, I suppose it possesses a certain rustic appeal that I found enchanting, a charm of this old medieval dusty town.

I wonder what stories this door could tell...

Hello Abmsudi.
A rather beautiful combination of light and shadow, and some very rich colour. You certainly did catch the sun at an excellent angle to highlight these things and the texture of the wood, with its various engravings - who knows what stories they might tell. A very pleasing composition and good exposure which reveals some very subtle highlights on the metal ring.

You've found a great detail and you present it in a very good way. Your framing is perfectly balanced to bring the padlock out.
Wonderful textures too.

I think I would have enhanced the light and played with levels to get a brigter picture so that the nervures are more apparent. I try a WS to illustrate my vision. Hope you don't mind.

I think many of us will agree about the beauty of the texture of the wood and its faded paint. By including the padlock and the round irons you have achieved a very attractive composition.

An excellent detail here! the textures, the blue colour on the wood, the iron rings - it's a simple but also great detail that you captured really well. The light was perfect that moment and the sharpness is really good to show the textures.

All it takes is a crowbar and a little leverage to open this up. But what I love about this photo is the blue markings...old paint..and rough worn wood on the door. Very nice.

I don't know if I am too pessimistic but here I see a gas mask... and it gives me the blues... I must have read too many reports from Fukushima... The framing is very well done, with a strong contrast in textures between the door and the padlock. I love the vibrant blue hues and the details on the wood. A striking and minimalist effect that shines, specially within the white framing.

Very different shot from you, a nice close up study of the rustic door and a very interesting door lock. I like the strong contrast here and really great details and texture of the wooden door and the fading paint and some carving of letters. the main subject, the lock is nicely postion off center to the left for a good composition.

That stunning composition ...! in the foreground, on the lock and the door, the effect achieved with the textures of wood and its color is an unusual quality and beauty, the iron rings and the lock also create a nice effect with the projection of its shadows. Nice close up of thos door. I like the excellent exposure and sharpness, how we can feel the texture of the wood, how the blue is merging with the clear brown with some touch of yellow. The black lockpad stands well out the background and is well positionned with a large place on the right. A simple but well done picture.

J'aime ce genre de composition, qui fait parler l'image, et fait appel à l'imagination. Tous les éléments photographiques sont présents pour évoquer le temps qui passe et les vicissitudes de ce portail à deux vantaux.
Il y a de la poésie dans cette création.
