Caleb,
It does looks like stepping a few decades time. while the girl are acting very intimate by hugging however they look not at ease a little stiff and unnatural. Perhaps they feel and very contius of the camera pointing at them. However they are very lovely in their very traditional outfit and way of life, owning a little house front business like in many Asian countries. Technically, all is perfect as always. Another very successful shot. Congrats.

hi Caleb,
This is maybe the first time I see someone in your picture who seems not at ease in front of your camera/presence. After so many great portraits that alone is already quite a feat. What did you (not) do to get that look? Surely, it can't be the cookies...
I was in Kashgar before the railway opened, and there was no need for the 'Uighur' specification (as there was only one Kashgar). I just hope it doesn't grow into what Urumqi has become.

That embrace doesn't look warm to me...It's a rather ambiguous image, I wonder what the left girl is thinking. A nice enviromental portrait as always.
All the best

Hello Caleb,
A very special and beautiful double portrait of the ladies in an unexpected pose. The sight of the bakery is very well included and interesting. It is almost as if there are two separate photos : one of the ladies, and one of the bakery in different colours and style.
Well seen and well executed.
Regards,
Paul

Hello Caleb,
Wonderful one, especially their pure poses and light on their stand. Expressions on their faces are just spectacular. Congratulations.
Friendly Regards,

Hi, Caleb. This looks like the setting of an old film. I like the way the two girls hug each other with one of them risking a smile and the other one looking reluctantly, if not menacingly, at the camera. They stand out nicely against the blueish tones of the counter.
Have a nice day,
Philippe

there's that rule of 3rds pretty applied: the image is divided into three different "layers": one with the women (and the bloody plastic chairs! enemies of all photogs! i've learnt my lesson about them, myself...:-); the exhibition of the goods up for sale, and the layer on the room - standing nicely for the background...
obviously - the pose of the two is a bonus!
