Photographer’s Note

In Xinjiang, in the Karakol Area, live many Kirgyz nomads. They live from little breeding and a little farming. All of them have a simple life. They live in the yourts that they also made of stone, so that they can stay there long time.
It is a very beautiful area.

Hi Reggy,
very good observation and composition. I think this landscape is amazing,diagonal lines all over and different shades of colors. It looks almost like an oilpainting. The woman and the motorcycle is an odd contrast to the rest of the picture.

I like colours and tones and how you separated the focal plains with different hues. Absolutely fascinating for me, apart from technical details.

Hey, een foto die ik niet ken, wat vreemd ;-)
Maarja, je hebt ook zoveel juweeltjes dat het amper te doen om alles te zien. Die huisjes in de verte, maar vooral die bromfiets rechts, wat een heerlijke detail. De dame in kwestie is niet gek, op de brommert naar het werk, zelfs daar ;-)
Prachtige sfeerfoto, heel erg mooi opgezet.

Hi Reggy. Magnificent scene which is accentuated even more by the vertical format. One really senses the remoteness of the place with the mountain barriers. The vastness is nicely accentuated by the tiny yurts in the distance. The lady in red in beautifully placed. My compliments on this memorable composition. Regards. Klaudio.

I love pictures where there are strong colors on the ground and dark color in the upper part, mounatians like here or very dark stormy skies. The result is sopleasant for the eyes. With the woamn in red and the white tents lining in the back showing the immensity of the mountaines this leads to such a wonderful picture. Great work.

And what a garden:) I like how the image seems to trangress from reality to a water-colour with the fluid mountains in the background. I assume that is her method of transport to work the brommer. Fijne weekend!

Impressive depth here. Light is once again very good and the composition is nice as well. All the curves in the landscape really enhance the beauty of the scene. I miss a little sharpness this time though. ;)
