Photographer’s Note
When I am in Kashgar I prefer to walk in the old city, where the Uyghur people lives and works. Most of the time it is very crowdy there and hard to take pictures because of so many people. But sometimes you are lucky and find a pieceful little place where there is a man waiting on the stairs just in enough sunlight. And feel more lucky when, out of the dark, a woman is passing by :-))

hi Reggy,
I like this photo a lot, I find it has a movie-scene quality, and reminds me a little of one of my favourite movies - "Postman in the mountains", despite the fact that the movie takes place in the countryside. calm, unhurried - that's how this scene looks to me. the touch of light in the foreground is beatiful, like a sun on Sunday morning shining in your bedroom (no idea if it makes sense, I guess I'm indulging in free flow of associations). great shot, love it.
best,
Kristine

I love hiw you mage light. Darkness is all over in the back and the delicate light seems to be excatly where you want it to be. Beautiful one.

hi Reggy,
good light control : the woman comes from the shades to the light. She's quite, maybe thinking or dreaming to something while walking, she's away. Indeed, she didn't see the man looking at her.
good street scene.

Dag Reggy,

Reggy,
Groetjes,
Henk

hello Reggy
wonderful scene! The lady is very well standing out the dark, and the light is just on the man! This light is so prefect that we could think that this is a scene of theatre! The 2 people are picturesque with their typical look,it's truly a splendid picture,I love it!

Hi, Reggy.
One of the best photos about "passing people" I have seen on TE.
Because the most of them are without story.
Here, is a little "story" : the glimps of the man at this beautiful woman.
Great composition, well done.
Best regards. Grazyna.

Hi Reggy,
A simple combination of caracters that work very well, the olde man and its opposite a young woman, both in traditional clothes and in perfect simetry. Te light is absolutely perfect with a nice dark background that add a nice mood. I wish you posted more here on TE as your pictures are great and you have so much to share...
Regards,
Flavia

This looks like a scene from the theatre Reggy, so perfectly staged, so carefully captured. The sunlight is just enough.
Mooie toch

Reggy,
the light here is amazing. I mean, it's no spectacular sun light hitting the subjects, but more subtle light changes going from deep shadows to strong sunlight.
Someone mentions how the image is cinematographic and I agree. The set up of the scene and the interaction between the characters is very interesting.
For me, it's the light that makes this shot, but the moment is definitely great!
see you,
Marc

Hola Reggy, I like .... a cinematographic scene
perishes with the actors in full representation,
with an excellent set and a light, for receiving
this special moment of the seated man looking
like the woman spends congratulations.
Un saludo y hasta pronto.

Reggy,
I don't know how you do this!! A simple scene, yet imbued with such significance, almost, it seems, simply through the quality of the photograph we are forced to look!
Marvellous!
Cheers

Bonjour reggy,
Bravo
