Beatiful Karakul lake is between to huge mountains: Mutsaga Ata and Kongur!
This is the eastern part of the Pamir mountains.
Local nomads- Kyrgiz and Tajik live in that area during the summer.

A very impressive shot - with a great subject over an amazing backdrop. I wonder if the shot needs to be tilted a bit to the right, as the mountains look like they might slide right out of Xinjian. Overall - fantastic,

I like the subject and also the photo - spent a freezing night along this lake, and the next morning the car could not start because the water had frozen too - we needed the help of kyrgyz nomads living nearby !
