National Road G219, a photo from Xinjiang, West

Photographer's Note

Taken on national road G219 from Yecheng, Xinjiang to Ali, Tibet, deep into Kunlun mountains.

The two-lane road is one of the three major entrance that leads to Tibet. Very impressive view but also dangerous. We drove a land cruiser like 40km/hr just in case not to fall down the cliff below...

Wow, a national route you said? That's an impressive road, but must be very hard to drive. One mistake and you could be dead! This is a very good picture well executed. Extreme road indeed...

Terrific shot of an impressive view. Sharpness in left bottom corner is perfect, and the soft tones of the more remote mountains is just right too. Majestic scenery, excellent shot. Thanks for sharing it.
