Hi Caleb,

Splendid! This is certainly not an expression we often see from a kid, particularly in China. This little girl with her arms crossed almost look like an older person, with this "grown up" posture and amused face looking defiantly away from your lens.

The clarity is remarkable and the yellow colour cast brings a surprising effect on the overall image. Even if your subject is under a translucent roof, there's plenty of light filtering through to create highlight and shadow on your subject.

Good portrait of the little baker in her working context.

Caleb, from where do you keep coming up with those? You must have an endless catalogue of these wonderful portraits. You'd expect the quality of the uploads to decrease with the best ones being posted first, but in your case the quality just remains excellent. Any plans for another trip?

HelloCaleb, The girl with her uplifted face makes an unusual pose - and the light touches her beautifully - and turns the bread to gold.

I like this portrait very much. The warmth colors are great and so is your dof game. But that attitude of your subject really shows a lot of character and I find that crucial for the success f any portrait.

see? this is what I mean - one great portrait after another :) the expression is priceless, the warm yellow cast fits well the fresly baked leafs of bread in the background, everything is just great!
