This is from my second trip back to Urumqi as I was making my way back along the silk trail towards the east. This photo was taken in a long alleyway that acted as an outdoor morning market. People would set up make-shift tables, or just lay their goods right on the ground on blankets. This man was selling vegetables and three fish. I ventured in looking to buy some naan and fruit for breakfast. I was the only tourist among about a hundred locals all cramped in this tiny alleyway market I was trying to be somewhat discrete with my picture taking and because of this, most of my photos came out blurry. This is a photo that I quickly captured without much setup. I wish I could've captured the entire length of the fish, but then I may have lost some of the details in his facial expression.
