Photographer’s Note
I decided to go for a walk early in the morning in the city of Urumqi. This was my first morning in the city. I was told that Urumqi is the furthest city in the world from a sea. As I was walking I turned a sharp corner of a narrow street and nearly bumped right in to the freshly butchered lamb that was hanging for sale. For the photo, I tried keeping the lamb in the center as well as capture the two men to the left.

Hi Michael,
This the second photograph of this kind I critique in a week (see http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/photo1034317.htm). There are some points in common between the two. This "meat in the town" of course but also what I could call a "raw backround". I can understand why you decide to keep so much space on the right of the frame.
It's a great shot because it's totally unexpected to see the big pieces of meat exposed in the street. But perhaps to emphasized the disease that we can feel in front of this scene, we can make some modifications. I think about a little of the sharpen filter (the meat is a bit blur) and a tilt on the left (but we'll have to crop a part on the right). I try a little WS. It's not perfect, the sharpen aspect needs more work, I did a little faster, it's just to give an idea. Anyway, your picture is also interesting by the fact that it offers a lot of possibilities in the post processing work.
Have a nice week-end.
Olivier.
