Photographer’s Note
I found a tiny muslim school in a small village near Turpan and heard someone reciting Koran. I causously stepped in, and saw a bright-looking Uygr boy calmly closed his Koran when his eyes meet with my camera.
I asked him why and he replied that taking photo of Koran is a sort of blasphemy. I don't know if this is true or not, but anyway apologized him about disturbing his study.

This surely is one of those rare insights we get into the Chinese way of life. Its a rather innocent shot that talks about freedom of education in China. The colours are sombre and textures lovely

Hi JS, this is a very good portrait study of this young boy. Excellent natural light from the side highlights his facial features and the background detail plays its part in making this a fine photo.
Regards,
Ryno

Great portrait that include a nice contrast between the two boys that compose it, one in the light and the other in the dark.
Very well done,
Jean-Claude
