[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Kara Kul (Uyghur for "black lake") lies along the Karakoram Highway about 200km south of Kashgar. It is dominated by the impressive Muztagh Ata (7546m). The reason why the mountain doesn't look so high is because the lake itself is at 3700m! In the summer, Kyrgyz nomads set up their yurts in the pastures around the lake (maybe I'll post a photo later on...).

From here, Muztagh Ata base camp (4550m) is about a 4 hour walk.

Wonderful landscape shot with a clear atmosphere, good light and pleasant colors. The layered composition is nice, giving a good feeling of depth. A must see... with my own eyes.

Tres jolie photo de ce paysage, il a un beau contraste entre ce premier plan sans neige et la montagne derriere qui en est recouverte on dirait que deux photos ont ete juxtaposees. J'aime bien cette composition. La note est sympa aussi, merci Brigitte.

Les formes douces des premières montagnes invitent à aller découvrir le camp de base de Muztagh Ata...
Si vous n'êtes pas monté au sommet je suis sûr que vous en avez au moins rêvé !

Superbe prise de vue, Brigitte. Joli contraste entre la couleur sombre des montagnes et la blancheur de la neige. Un joli paysage, bravo!

Hola Brigitte. Estoy encantado de ver una foto como esta. Es muy simple pero con una composición muy efectiva. Me gustan los contrastes entre el cielo la montaña nevada y la zona que no esta nevada con el agua y la hierba. Los colores además son bastante vivos y elegantes. Un buen trabajo, que presenta un bonito paisaje. Felicidades.
